Small and focused, Instil provides services and training of
the highest quality to our loyal and growing customer base.
The core of our business is writing software, both as a
service and in one-off bespoke solutions. But we also
deliver plenty of training to other software organisations
on the techniques and disciplines that have helped us build
our excellent reputation.
We take what we do, and how we do it, very seriously.
Bottom line, the ability to solve complex problems smartly,
and effectively requires craft, technique and discipline.
All three underpin everything we do.

Tara has been writing software for over 25 years, ever since
getting his hands on a 48K ZX Spectrum way back in 1982.
He started his professional career 8 years later working on
a C/C++ emulation of the
AS/400,
writing much of the underlying runtime environment, compilers
and database. (Interestingly, the product still exists and
continues to sell well today, 17 years later.)
The last 10 years has seen him working predominantly in Java,
writing everything from large-scale JEE web applications for an
American multi-national to the design and implementation of an
OSGi-based
application framework for a major Telco vendor.
He has also started tweeting.
Marty has been coding since receiving his first computer, a
BBC Micro,
way back in 1986.
After graduating in 2000, he began his professional career working in C/C++ and Java,
before moving onto JEE and .NET web application development. More recently he successfully
led the development of a 'Gartner Visionary Quadrant' BPM product.
